Time is of the essence

Modolv Sjøset's facilities are geographically ideally located. The rich fishing grounds of the Vest Fjord and the Norwegian Sea lie just beyond the quay, at the Artic Circle. This ensures a reliable supply of first-class fresh fish from most Norwegian Sea areas, in seasons that together last almost throughout the year.. In the high season, from September to February, Modolv Sjøset Pelagic produces herring. In February-March, the capelin comes in from the Arctic waters, just before the company starts producing the delicate silver smelt caught nearby.

We just recently built a new production facility and refrigerated storage. The production facility was built to meet our own requirements for nimble internal logistic and careful handling of raw material through the production process, as well as to afford greater possibillities for developing products.




Modern fish processing demands knowledge, many skills and flexibilty. The fishing trade has changed radically in recent decades. Modolv Sjøset AS has always been open to new ideas and innovations; that's why we continue to invest in the most modern machinery available. These are just some of our competitive advantages.

Naturally, Modolv Sjøset can also supply other fish species - for example whitefish such as cod, coalfish, haddock and halibut. For customers who deal in specialty products it's good to know that we also provide dried cod (klippfisk), cod roe and cod liver.

The pure, clean depths of our polar ocean areas are known to offer the best conditions for tasty, nutritious fish. So the quality is widely recognized and is a vital criterion for our demanding customers.
